It takes more than a great manuscript to get noticed. It pays to do your homework to gain insight into how the publishing world works, and find the right niche. This seminar outlines the key principles to a successful book proposal and provides tips on negotiating the publishing industry.
Nicola Redhouse is an editor at Scribe. She works on the non-fiction list and has a particular interest in narrative non-fiction and the personal essay. She is also a freelance writer and reviewer, and has been published in various places including Meanjin, The Big Issue, and RealTime magazine.
