Non-fiction Writing

The market for non-fiction writing is expanding rapidly. Learn how to: find and refine your writing voice; target different audiences; find a fresh and marketable angle for the stories you want to tell; research those stories; understand the different styles and genres of non-fiction writing (informative feature articles; essays; biographies and autobiographies; blogs; travel and humorous writing, etc.).
Classes include writing tasks and workshopping in a fun and supportive environment. Sian Prior www.sianprior.com has been a journalist for nearly two decades, both in print and on radio, and is an award-winning short fiction writer. She also teaches Journalism and Non-Fiction in RMIT’s Professional Writing and Editing Diploma course.
