Join writer/director Amanda Brotchie and producer Nicole Minchin as they discuss the process from screenplay draft to production, the challenges involved in getting a TV series up and running, and what it takes to make a good writer/director/producer relationship.
AFI award-winning director Amanda Brotchie is the co-creator, co-writer and director of the ABC comedy series, Lowdown (screening 2010). Other credits include multi-award-winning short film Break & Enter (director), Neighbours (director), and feature film Rats and Cats (script editor). Theatre credits include The Inner Sanctum (director) and Headlock (writer-director), nominated for a Green Room Award for Outstanding Achievement in Writing.
Nicole Minchin’s television producing credits include the comedy series, Lowdown (ABC), Series 1 and 2 of comedy show The Wedge (Channel 10) and the documentary That Was Me (Network 7). Nicole has recently completed her first feature film, Kin, which will premiere at Melbourne International Film Festival 2010.
