Writing for Young Adults Masterclass

This weekend intensive aims to provide participants with an in-depth and practical insight into writing for young people through a combination of exercises, facilitator commentary and group feedback. Libby discusses the inspiration for writing, the ways and means of transforming an idea into a story and the importance of enhancing our imagination. This course is tailored towards emerging to established writers and enrolment is by application only.

Libby Hathorn is an award-winning author of more than fifty books for children and young people. Translated into several languages and adapted for stage and screen, her work has won honours in Australia, United States, United Kingdom and Holland. Libby’s latest stories include Georgiana: Woman of Flowers (Hachette, 2008), Fire Song (ABC Books, 2009) and Zahara’s Rose (IP Press, 2009).
